ADGAR - data center
A hall in the ground floor of a building was transformed into a data center in an active area of 600 m2.
Overview
The data center facility is located in Afek Industrial Park in Rosh HaAyin.
The project entailed the transformation of a hall in the ground floor of the building into a data center with a total output of 345 TR, which is conditioned by "Stulz" computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units.
The energy center and the data center were designed by N+1 standard.
The electricity and control infrastructure is composed of two feeds, A and B, and a backup generator.

An energy center was built in the ground floor used for 24/7 supply of cold water by 3 "Trane" screw chillers with a couple of integrated hydronic pumps in each chiller, the output of each chiller is 115 TR.
Each chiller has a dual power supply through an exchange board – two feeds, A and B, connect to the exchange board and one feed is connected from the exchange board to the chiller.
The facility on the roof was designed to include future chillers.
The energy transference to and from the data center is performed by a 24" diameter supply/return distributor.
The hall in which the data center is located is conditioned by 7 "Stulz" computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units with an output of 33 TR each.
Each CRAC unit has a direct A&B dual power supply, while the feed exchange is performed by the units' control.
Each unit has temperature and humidity control specifically fitted for server needs.
The air handling unit (AHU) has an output of 27 TR and supplies 100% fresh air to the hall.
The air conditioning of the office area and the control room is performed by local fan coil units and a central processed fresh air unit.
The electrical A&B infrastructures are located in the basement floor – the electricity, transformers and batteries rooms are conditioned by AW units. Each room has temperature control.
Smoke ventilation system, with smoke blowers and fire/smoke dampers, has been installed in different areas according to the safety plan and has been found compatible to the 1001 standard part 1.
The control room is located in the buildings' entrance and is in charge of keeping the necessary conditions for the servers and the electrical rooms.
As part of the project an infrastructure was made for another data center with an area of 600 m2.
